People ask me all the time what to do when their computer runs slow.

There are 4 things I look for when I get asked this question:
1) How much memory does the PC have (i.e. 256 mgs, 512 mgs etc).
2) How much hard drive space does the C drive have. This is important because if you have less than 1 gig of space on your drive this could slow your machine down.
3) What is the screen resolution – this could also be a factor in a slow PC.
4) Lastly I look at the performance options…
a)I sometime will adjust these settings accordingly to the needs of the user.
b)What is the virtual memory set to? This too can be a factor in speed.
